Grass or Corn
Making ethanol seems to be a big deal these days. We are getting all excited over bio fuels and alternative energy choices. I often just get mad at the fact that we don't use what we have right here. We have all sorts of viable options that could reduce our dependence on foreign fuels.
Let's talk ethanol. I personally am not a big fan of ethanol blends. They have a natural tendency to pick up stray Hydrogen bonds and create water in your fuel. Yet, ethanol as a fuel would be an excellent alternative. The question then is, what is the best route for getting the greatest yield for the least cost. I may have found your answer in a recent article put out by Scientific America.
