How Many Need To Die?

Have you read this news report?

It sounds all warm and fuzzy like some thought and preparation went into it. Our various defensive agencies have a plan to deal with this but we have know idea what activates the plan. More directly, we have no idea how many need to die before the plan is activated.

Here is the quote from DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff: "We completed a contingency plan for border violence, so if we did get a significant spillover, we have a surge – if I may use that word – capability to bring in not only our own assets but even to work with Defense."

Significant Spillover means what? How many US citizens need to die in this violence? We need our nation and its citizens protected. It is written right into our constitution and deemed the highest order of office. Does the statement above give you the impression that they plan on carrying out their oath with diligence and determination?

I know I didn't get all warm and fuzzy over it. I bet many of you have similar views. How many times do "We The People" need to tell them to secure our border?

If only "We the People" had "standing" in our courts. If only "We the People" weren't treated by the media as though we were un-American hicks eager to do harm to some undocumented guest worker as he crosses our border away from the watchful eye of the border patrol. If only our executive branch took seriously their duty to defend our border rather than to criminalize the actions of border patrol agents that actually do their jobs.

If only.

Of course, most people are taught that there's little difference between illegal immigrants working our fields and the migrants from Oklahoma working the fields in 1939. Most people are taught that "This land is your land, this land is my land" and that land ownership and national soveriegnty are anachronisms better left to an older, darker time.

As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.

Thanks Woodie Guthrie for your words and music. Thanks for teaching the youth of America to disrespect property, borders, and national sovereignty. Thanks Libs for your "open borders" multi-cultural nonsense.

Aztlan is a myth!
